Meløyvær is an old fishing village located on Gårdsøya, outside of Bjarkøy in Harstad municipality.

Today there are only 9 permanent residents on Meløyvær, and to go ashore on this island to enjoy nature is a great pleasure. The Northern Norway archipelago is called one of the world’s most beautiful and is here at its best. With chalk-white beaches of coral sand that give the sea its characteristic color of azure blue.

A sailing trip from Harstad to Meløyvær is also very suitable as a 2-day overnight trip.
