Tranøya is a lush little island and an old church site southeast of Senja. History can tell us about an ancient civilization living here more than 2000 years ago. We can find proof of this among the many burial mounds, and all the boathouse and house foundations on the island.
It is impossible to drive to Tranøya by car, since there are no roads leading to the island. This makes the island a nice place to enjoy the peace and quiet.
The old rectory offers accommodation for those who prefer sleeping on land.
A sailing trip to Tranøya can be combined with other activities such as kayaking, SUP or yoga.
